In 2008 Colour Five achieved FSC certification. This means that any product we manufacture using FSC paper, whether under our brand or your brand, can carry the FSC logo.

The Forest Stewardship Council enables you to buy forest products of all kinds with confidence that you are not contributing to global forest destruction. FSC certified forests are managed to ensure long term timber supplies while protecting the environment and the lives of forest-dependent peoples. A system of Chain of Custody certification traces forest products through the supply chain to the end-consumer. Whenever you buy timber or timber products always look for the FSC logo.

At Colour Five we recycle absolutely everything possible, that includes not only paper waste, but printing plates & chemicals, all office & kitchen waste. We try to minimise the amount of energy we use wherever possible.

Paper Miles

Food miles have been talked about for a while now, but we think it's just as important to talk about PAPER miles. The trend over the years has been to order printed items overseas particularly in the far east. Just imagine how many miles your printing travels from China to the UK! At Colour Five all our materials are sourced in Europe, and more often than not in the UK. All our manufacturing takes place right here in Wembley. You can be sure that whatever you order from us will have travelled the shortest distance possible.

Carbon Targets

There is lots of news about the UK not achieving its carbon targets, and essentially exporting the problem to India or China where goods are made and then exported back to the UK - increasing rather than reducing the carbon footprint of imported printing.
